About Europa Stamps

Welcome to the official EUROPA Stamps site.

EUROPA stamps are special issues from European postal administrations and enterprises, each bearing the official EUROPA logo—a registered trademark of PostEurop

These stamps highlight Europe as a central theme, emphasizing the region's shared values and vast heritage.  They help raise awareness of Europe's common roots, culture, and history, making them some of the most collected and popular stamps worldwide.

Since the first EUROPA stamp issue in 1956, these unique stamps have served as a tangible symbol of Europe's ongoing desire for closer integration and collaboration.  This spirit is reflected by the long standing cooperation within the postal sector to promote philately and European values.

PostEurop and the Stamps and Philately working group

In 1993, PostEurop took over the responsibility of managing the issuance of EUROPA stamps from CEPT.

The PostEurop Stamps and Philately Working Group made up of postal Philatelic experts, actively promotes stamps and philately, with a special emphasis on EUROPA stamps.  The group is responsible for selecting the themes of the EUROPA stamp issues as well as sharing promotional activities.   The group not only shares best practices in Philately, they also monitor developments that may impact European philately and EUROPA stamps. A highly anticipated European Philatelic Forum event is held every two years providing an opportunity to showcase recent Philatelic developments and discuss topics of interest.

The working group is led by

Chair: Xavier Clabots (bpost)
Vice-Chair:  Johanna Finne (Åland Post)
