Data Protection Working Group

The Data Protection working group has been reactivated during the application of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This piece of legislation will impact both European and non-European Members of PostEurop.

The main focus of the group is to understand the influence of data protection, ePrivacy and any other related measures it may have on the postal business.

Main activities include:

  • Share of best practices and overall experience in the implementation of the GDPR among PostEurop Members
  • Lead and coordinate a common approach to the challenge of “International data transfers” to countries not aligned with GDPR
  • Keep contact with relevant stakeholders that can help support PostEurop goals linked to Data Protection
